Brunswick Cycling Club is a volunteer-run club which aims to promote all levels of competitive road and track cycling amongst all ages and abilities in the local community. Our 200+ membership comprises juniors, Under 18s, elite riders, women and masters, as well as families and social members. Brunswick Cycling Club strongly supports an inclusive, safe and educational riding environment for all of its members.

Junior Club Champs Schedule

Junior Club Champs conclude this Sunday at DISC.

Track will be available after 7pm, Carl has his sprint group on before this so please respect this.

Racing will commence at 7.30 with the Scratch Races, the order will be 17, 15, 13, 11, & 19

Following the Scratch races Sprint Qualifying will be run in the same order as indeed will the 1st rounds, semis, etc.

Sprint draw will be announced on the night after entries have been taken.

Plan to achieve your best at the Metros & Club Champs this weekend

Start times for the Metro Champs are up on the Castlemaine Club and Cycling Victoria sites.

Have a look at the start lists, there are quality fields in all categories… deserving Championship status so you will need to be at your best before you even start your warm up so step 1 is avoid late nights from here on which means planning your work, training and HOMEWORK / STUDY to ensure you get the most bed rest you can.

Diggers Rest this Saturday

There is no Northern Combine racing this Saturday 18 May due to the Metro Champs being run at Harcourt.  However,  Dave and Alf will be running a session at Diggers Rest for anyone who is interested.  It will start at 10am from Crinnion Road.

Junior Club Track Champs

Just a reminder that the conclusion to the junior club track champs is scheduled for this Sunday, 19th May at DISC.  Track open from 7pm with racing from 7.30pm.  Sprint and Scratch races to be held and combined with the TT results that was conducted at HSV (before the rain came) to determine age-group club champions.

Saturday Night Track Racing is Back

This Saturday (11th May) marks the start of the Winter Track Series at DISC.  Rego from 3.30pm / racing starts at 4.30pm.

This series is designed for both the experienced track racer (A-grader) and specifically for those newer to the sport looking to make the progression from our Tuesday night racing to open racing.  These Saturday nights will provide a great bridge for these riders.

Jam packed with racing and the guarantee of no wind or rain… More info here.  Graded racing for under-17 and above – mens and womens.  Gear limit is 92.6 (49×14) – under-17s must use the restricted gear.

3 Day Tour Entries – Non Volunteers

Entries to the 3DT open tonight (Wednesday 8th May) to riders who are not on the Northern Combine volunteer roster @ www.3daytour.org
If you are currently on the roster and thinking of entering (but have not done so), please do so before tomorrow night. 140 rostered volunteers have already taken up the opportunity to enter the Tour, so hopefully most volunteers who are thinking of riding the Tour have already secured a spot.
For riders who have already entered, your confirmation email will have the bank deposit details for you to secure your spot. Please ensure you pay by Thursday 16th May. If you have not paid by then, your position may be given to a waitlisted rider.
