Clinic Family Day 29/03/09

What do you get when you have a warm sunny morning, 35+ kids with their parents and a bbq going flat out to keep up?

The Clinic Family Day!

It was fast, skillful and fun.

Peter Ferronato broke through the 30 sec barrier.

The kids rode circles around their mums and dads in the "go slow" challenge and it was a thriller in the parents "winner take all" derby.

Alex’s mum Annabell, fresh from her warm up at the BBQ blitzed ‘em with a blistering sprint finish.

The Mitch Docker Madison was the feature event, 8 teams lined up, eager to demonstrate their skills to the capacity crowd. It was close, each team taking crucial points over the 7 gruelling sprints.

It took a herculean effort from the youngest participant, Sarah Cuigante (8yrs & 4th week at the clinic) to secure the points to give her and her partner, Shaun O’Callaghan the victory.

Special thanks to P.B.Ben for dragging himself out of bed and coming down to cook the snags.

Extra special thanks to Renee for letting P.B. out of bed!!!

This week is the Grande Finale, the Clinic Championships, everyone will be attempting to better their times that they have recorded over the season, if you haven’t already, come down and watch a morning of cycling skills, thrills and some fun.

Action starts around 9 with presentations with the BBQ at noon,

see ya there, onya Cam
