Enduro #3 & Madison Carnival

If you are not otherwise engaged on Saturday 9th January, come along to the third installment of the Brunswick Evening Enduro at the Harrison St. Velodrome. This round the theme will be teamwork. Riders participating in Madison events will compete in scratch, keirin, paced elimination, flying lap and a Madison point score. All other riders will race scratch, team pursuit, paced elimination and paced point score.

Registration opens at 6pm, a paced warmup with Neville the wonder bike starts from 7pm. Racing kicks off at 7:30pm. Entry is $5. Madison pairs will be set on the night, so there is no need to bring a partner. Anyone hoping to get some last-minute madison practice in before the event, come along to Harrison st. on Monday 4th January.

Enduro #3 Program

  • C, B grade scratch races
  • Enduro half of Madison pairs scratch – first four places score 5, 3, 2, 1
  • Sprint half of Madison pairs keirin – first four places score 5, 3, 2, 1
  • Non-madison riders race teams pursuits over 4000m
  • Madison Pairs do a flying lap with change, points are 5, 3, 2, 1
  • All-in paced elimination, madison riders awarded points for
    places as above.
  • Non-madison riders paced point score 60 laps, with
    sprints every 10
  • 40 lap madison point score, sprints every 10 laps, points
    accumulate from earlier events

As with other enduro events, there is no prize money, but there will be a free BBQ for all that come along. Bring the family and enjoy some great racing action on the track with over 60 years of character.
