Had a quick peek at the results so far from the oz open champs up Bunningyong and a couple of familiar names appeared in the top 10. “Diesel” Dylan Newell had a crack in the Elite TT and would be pretty stoked with his 8th placing, while in the Womens/W23 Criterium “Krafty” Kendelle Hodges was 8th overall and 4th in the U23 category, which is an awesome effort backing up after Bay Series.

In the men’s crit Dylan was one of many who had a DNF though I’ll Claim Sunburys Chris Steffanoni as an honourary Brunswickian and his 4th placing. Chris stayed at our place during the bay series and had a win at eastern beach, yes the @.i.s. brings out the best in you!

Today (saturday) Kendell will be taking on the big guns again in the Womens/W23 Road Race , fingers crossed and good luck!

Sunday all the Brunswick big guns are lining up in the Mens RR, good luck to all and I can’t help feeling a bit “old” as I scroll through the entries and see names in the elite and u23 categories that I can still picture as U15′s tearing up the Brunswick track and Combine racing out on the road.

To their mums & dads you’ve done well to get them this far and still manage to keep a smile on their faces as they enjoy their chosen sport.
