As provided in the club’s constitution, the club’s committee of management is calling for any senior club member to indicate their interest in being appointed interim President until the next Annual General meeting at which time the club membership with elect a new president.

14.3. In the event of a casual vacancy, including a vacancy arising by reasons of a position not being filled at the Annual General Meeting, occurring during the year, the Committee shall have the power to appoint a new member from the members of The Club. Any person so appointed shall hold office until the next Annual General Meeting only, but shall be eligible for re-election

If you are interested in being appointed as president until the next Annual General Meeting please email the secretary secretary@brunwickcyclingclub.com indicating your interest.

The committee hopes to appoint an interim club president at the next monthly general meeting on Monday 5 Sept.

Due to family committments Ewin Williams announced at the last monthly meeting that he is stepping down as club president. Ewin stated that with the amount of time required as a parent of a new baby he doesn’t feel that he is able to devote the time and effort needed to do the job of club President adequately.

Ewin has done an admirable job as President given his limited time this year.

The committee reluctantly accepted Ewin’s resignation as president and thanked him for the work he has done in this role during the 2010-2011 season.

Okay you’ve got your routine going for keeping in touch with all the news updates now it’s time to stay one step ahead of anything you may forget before race day.

Prepare Early!

Don’t look at your equipment late friday night and discover that your rear tyre is worn out or you’ve got a gaping hole in your knicks. Check and pack on Thursday night, that way if you do find something that needs replacing you can buy it Friday night!

There’s no stress, no panic, the house remains calm and you can sleep well and perform at your best.
